Description

A carved stone block discovered in a 1st-century synagogue at Magdala (hometown of Mary Magdalene), featuring a unique seven-branched menorah carving.

Biblical Significance

The synagogue at Magdala dates to the time of Jesus and may be one where he taught. The menorah carving is the earliest known stone depiction while the Temple still stood.
