A basalt stele erected by King Mesha of Moab around 840 BC, recording his victories over Israel. It mentions the Israelite God YHWH and the 'House of David.'

Biblical Significance

Corroborates biblical accounts in 2 Kings 3 of the conflict between Moab and Israel. Contains one of the earliest references to YHWH outside the Bible.
